Track and report employee truancy
Ted Riker, a business owner with 15 employees, needed an easier way to track late arrivals. Instead of logging into the access control system and running reports, Ted wanted a quick solution while traveling. With Protector.Net's access control system, Ted now receives an email or text every morning at 9:30 am, listing employees who haven't entered the building yet.
Card counting and limiting
Fred Jones wanted to limit how many times his employees' credentials could be used each day. Using Protector.Net’s ACE scripting, a custom attribute was added to each card, allowing access only three times a day. After the third use, the card is automatically disabled. The count resets at a specified time daily, ensuring full control over access.
Special action card to unlock communal rooms
A church needed an easy way to manage access to community rooms rented out weekly. Using Protector.Net’s ACE scripting, a set of cards was created to unlock rooms for 30 minutes, an hour, or two hours. The cards are given to renters upon arrival, and the unlock time is fully customizable to fit any specific needs.
Schedule doors weekly
A factory needed to adjust door schedules weekly to match alternating shift patterns. Instead of manually logging in every Sunday, Protector.Net’s ACE scripting was used to automate the schedule change, ensuring the doors follow the correct shift schedule without any user intervention.
Secure on sunrise and sunset
A local café wanted to automatically open at sunrise and close at sunset, but manually adjusting the schedule every few weeks was challenging. Using Protector.Net’s ACE scripting, a third-party service was integrated to calculate the exact times of sunrise and sunset. The script then updates the door schedule weekly, automating the process without manual intervention.
Set all doors to unlock at same time
A dentist office used the 'First Credential In' system, but the manager had to swipe at multiple doors each morning, which was time-consuming and sometimes forgotten. With ACE scripting, once the manager or owner swipes at any door, all public doors automatically unlock, saving time and ensuring convenience.
