Smoke Detector (TX-6010-01-1)
Read before changing batteries!
Before changing batteries, please call the monitoring station and ask them to put your system on test. For this, you will need your account information.
Please note that putting your batteries in backwards may damage the device. Remember to note the battery terminals.

You will need a 2 x CR123A Batteries

1.
Twist the cover counter clockwise and remove it.

2.
Slide off the cover of the battery slot. (the compartment marked with the warning sign)

3.
Gently remove the batteries.

4.
Note the battery terminals (+, -). Putting in a battery reversed can damage the device.

5.
Place new batteries in the device (2 x CR123A).

6.
Replace the cover on the battery slot.

7.
Note the three notches on circumference of the device and the small node at the top.

8.
Line the node up with the arrow on the inside of the base.

9.
Press the cover onto the base and twist clockwise until you hear a click.
